PROGRAM MANAGER

We are looking for a competent manager to oversee and organize our scholarship program. This includes but is not limited to the scholarship application process, working with the scholarship committee as liaison, creating educational programming for the scholars and getting the scholars actively involved with donors, partners and the board of directors. In addition, you will manage CFC social media accounts. You’ll ensure the program runs in an efficient and cost-effective manner, paying attention to budget and time constraints.

As manager, you will interact with scholars, donors, partners and board of directors in a polite, professional and understanding manner. We want to see enthusiasm for the core mission of the cause. We expect the manager to display a willingness to share fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to provide the best experience possible for our scholars, donors, partners and board of directors.

  • Other duties may include planning programming and scholar educational events from start to finish.
  • Producing timely and topical social media posts to be approved by Executive Director.
  • Coming up with suggestions and working as a team to enhance the success of all CFC events.
  • Preparing budgets and ensuring adherence to them.
  • Light office operational duties including phone, email and text correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire scholar application process from beginning to end
  • Serve as liaison to scholarship committee overseeing grading
  • Review process to ensure that we are using best practices and software to ensure efficiency
  • Serve as primary contact to scholars from application through awarding of scholarship
  • Serve as primary contact to scholar alumni
  • Proactively communicate with scholars and alumni to maintain positive relationship with charity
  • Proactively manage scholar database
  • Manage all aspects of scholar educational programming
  • Manage CFC social media accounts with fresh and interesting content approved by ED.
  • Manage office operational duties related to scholars and programming.
  • Work cooperatively with other CFC staff
Requirements

Requirements

  • 1-Year Non-Profit experience or similar
  • Skilled in program management
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A knack for problem-solving and creativity
  • Excellent customer-service skills
  • A team player with leadership skills
  • Ability to be flexible working in a small office environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Position is based out of Temecula, California office
  • BS/BA degree
